After the implant is placed, the patient is called after 4-6 months. Once the implant is integrated with the bone, its uncovered and a healing abutment placed for 1-2 weeks. Another appointment is scheduled, to take impressions for the final prostheses.

3) what is the procedure of placing dental implants?

The surgical area is first anesthetized.Once the site is numb ,the surgeon makes a cut to open your gum and expose the bone. Holes are drilled into the bone where the dental implant  will be placed.Once the implant is placed, a cover screw is placed on top and the gums are closed with a suture.
